Summary: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a tale about a small child named Bruno. He and his family lived in a city named Berlin. Bruno was a happy child having his 3 best friends in the world named Carl, Daniel, and Martin. Until his father decided that he and his family were to move down to Out-With for what he called “work”. This had tremendously impacted Bruno since he had future plans with his best friends. Moving to Out-With will mean he would no longer see his friends or grandparents. Finally moving to his new house Bruno peaked outside his window and noticed there was a fence division. On the other side of the fence there were people in striped pajamas. As months went by Bruno was getting accustom to living in an isolated house. Until one day he decided to get out of the house and go for an adventure.Walking around he found a fence he decided to walk down the fence wondering where it lead to, and it lead to him seeing a kid sitting alone. Bruno curiously went up to the kid to have a conversation. As Bruno and the kid began talking they began to know each other in a better manner. His name was Shmuel. Bruno and Shmuel had a decent amount of similarities they both enjoyed exploring, they were both surprisingly the same age, and they both hated being there. As months went by their friendship got stronger they reached a point where Bruno would bring him food whether it varied from sandwiches to granola bars. Bruno was always curious what was on the other side of the fence and as conversations with Shmuel went by Shmuel described something so dark.
Review: The Boy In The Striped Pajamas is a great book. I would highly recommend reading this book, its full of surprises, and it gives you a chance to step into the shoes of Bruno, the main character. I first thought this book was going to be boring, but it starts off strong there really isn't any boring part to this book. I would highly recommend this book to people who like adventure type of books and thriller type of books. The way the author placed events in the book is great is keeps you entertained, and you will not want to drop the book at all.
