I re-read Metamorphosis a week or so ago just to be reassured that it's a phenomenal novella. Some friends of mine were discussing their hatred towards the short story and there was no way I wasn't going to defend this title. It's about a man that is turned into a giant "bug" like creature overnight and has to handle the situation as his life passes by. This novella has so much insight that has been put into it and it contains an endless amount of thinking about life and death. There is much more to the book rather than just a guy that has been turned into a bug by an unknown force. Don't listen to people that didn't like the book. Read it. I promise you will gain knowledge from it.
