11/22/63 is a historical fiction novel by Stephen King about a man who attempts to go back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The wormhole that he uses to go from present day to the desired time period is located in a pantry in his neighborhood diner and every time he enters it, he is sent back to September ninth, 1958. Because this is more than five years before the assassination occurs, you can imagine the struggle he endures as he lives in this new world for half a decade without cell phones, internet, and EPA-protected air quality. This novel is extremely entertaining to read and causes one to pose many questions about the ethics involved with exploring time travel, and whether or not it is a question of can we, but should we.
