Thomas wakes up in an elevator not knowing where he is or his name. He is welcomed by about 60 teen boys into to the Glade. The Glade is surrounded by a huge stone maze that is infested with machine like creatures that are called Greivers. Every month a new boy is sent into the maze to try and find a way out. The day after Thomas arrives, a girl shows up in the elevator and she’s the first and last girl ever to be sent to the maze so the boys don’t know what to do. Right before she passes out, she says, “Everything’s going to change”. Now Thomas is working together with the Gladers to try and find a way out until one evening the maze walls that keep every evil thing in don’t close. Can the boys survive each night fighting off the Greivers? Or will this be that last of them?

This book
has a lot of twists and turns. It is very fast moving and keeps you wanting to
read more. It is also a very graphic and violent story. This book is like the Hunger Games and Lord of the Flies. We rate this book 4 out of 5 stars, it was very
entertaining and it kept us guessing what would happen next.
